After the events of The Batman (2022), Oz Cobb, a.k.a. Aside from a bat signal in the final shot of the season finale, we never got our Robert Pattinson cameo in “The Penguin.” In this short video, IMDb attempts to answer: Where the hell was Batman? Colin Farrell fought hard to get his version of The Penguin to smoke in The Batman (2022), but it didn’t work out.

In his own series, however, the character is depicted as a casual smoker who favors cigars. The umbrella falls and the logo changes to the Warner Bros. logo.

Perfectly captures the tone and mood

Appearing on Graham Norton i gosti: Lady Gaga/Demi Moore/Colin Farrell/Richard Ayoade/Jack Savoretti (2024). Rough, dirty, and dark, but Farrell manages to capture the charm of Gandolfini’s Tony Soprano. There’s a lot of grit in this opening sequence, but there are still comedic moments that fit the tone and don’t detract from it.

Where to start with Farrell

Amazing is the right word. I love seeing talented star actors take on roles like this, and the makeup/cgi or whatever they did to physically transform him into the Penguin not only passes the eye test, but it looks incredibly realistic. There’s always a risk that if the makeup job isn’t good enough or is just a little off, it could completely distract from the focus.

In Penguin, it adds to his performance and the overall quality of the show because it’s such a damn good job. And Farrell as an actor is completely immersed in this role. I may be a little biased because he is one of my favorite actors before this show, but I think this one gets him the recognition he deserves, because I never tune into new shows right away because I like watching episodes all at once, but I wanted to see how this one really came out, I wasn’t disappointed, in fact it blew me away.
